The goal of CrossFit is to increase work capacity across broad time and modal domains through the use of constantly varied, high intensity, and functional movements. CrossFit accomplishes this by promoting competency in the ten generally recognized physical skills: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.
Beyond the physical attributes, CrossFit also promotes a healthy diet that consists of lean meats, garden vegetables specially green, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Participants are encouraged to limit their intake levels to support exercise but not body fat.
